This study is aim to identify the influence of progressive muscle relaxation to the reduction of primary dysmenorrhea’s rate among teenagers. The type of the research is Quasi-experiment with Non-equivalent Control Group design. Purposive sampling is chosen in determining the sample which consist of 13 teenagers. The method of data collection using Numeric Rating Scale (NRS) questionnaire. The collected data were analyzed by median for univariate data and t dependent test for bivariate data. Dismenorrhea scale before given the progressive relaxation is 4,23 with deviation standard 1,641 and error standard 0,455. Dismenorrhea scale after given the progressive relaxation is 2 with deviation standar 1,354 and error standard 0,376. The result of t dependent test is p-value 0,0001, this value showed that the intervention of progressive muscle relaxation gave the significant influence to reduce primary dysmenorrhea. In conclusion, progressive muscle relaxation influences in reducing dysmenorrhea’s rate among teenagers. For the recommendation, the nurses can apply progressive muscle relaxation for relieving the primary dysmenorrhea among teenagers.
