The thesis with the title of Mayor of Independent candidates, political campaign: a case study Of political campaign Prospective Independent Couples Budi "Dalton" Setiawan and Rizal Firdaus Mayor Election Period 2013-2018. The purpose of this research is to know the successful teams interpret the POAC in political campaign Prospective implementation strategy, knowing that do, and find out the cause of the defeat of the candidates for mayor and Deputy Mayor of Independent Budi" Dalton "Setiawan and Rizal Firdaus. Research question posed is how successful teams interpret the POAC in political campaigns of candidates for mayor and Deputy Mayor are independent? How about How the implementation of a political campaign Prospective spouses do the Mayor and Vice Mayor of Independent couples Budi "Dalton" Setiawan and Rizal Firdaus? And why candidates for mayor and Deputy Mayor of Independent Budi" Dalton "Setiawan and Rizal Firdaus is losing? The methods used in this study is a qualitative method with approach case studies. The subject in this study was the team winner of the candidate for mayor and the Mayor of the independent called Laskar Pacantel, media practitioners and academics and practitioners of politics in the city of Bandung. As for the method of data collection in this research is with the observation, study of documents and in-depth interviews. The Result showed tha success team Laskar Pacantel understanding about political campaign which applicated through POAC management functions approach belongs to Geroge R. Terry, implementation of political campaigns with formulating a message using the campaign as a symbol of a culture that is done through open and closed his campaign with a target of audiences is the community and artist. Successful teams are aware that they have no experience in the fieldof politics and a great political cost, became the cornerstone of the causes of defeat of the couple.
