Indonesian Language Lesson in Elementary School is often regarded as a tedious lesson
because it seems to only record material and is rarely practiced. Complaints about the
achievement of learning, especially Indonesian subjects, can not be said as negligence of teachers
at the school concerned. But this should be restored again on the habits of reading students, thus
attracting researchers to conduct research on the Influence of Reading Habits of Learning
Achievement of Language Indonessia In Students Class V SDN Kubanglaban. The sample of this
research is the students of grade V SDN Kubanglaban Serang with 30 students. The method used
is correlation with 3 research techniques, namely questionnaire technique is intended to obtain
data about reading habits, test techniques to measure the ability and achievement of students in
Indonesian subjects, and data analysis techniques intended to measure the influence of reading
habit variable on student achievement SDN Kubanglaban. The questionnaire results show the
reading habit reached 67% of 30 students. 90% achievement level is obtained from the score of
learning achievement of Indonesian language after the test, with the lowest score 80 and the
highest 89. The results of data analysis of the correlation of reading habits on student achievement
class V SDN Kubanglaban get the number of 0.641. The correlation is included in the high
correlation. About 41% of learning achievement is influenced by reading habits. This shows that
reading habit is very important in an effort to improve learning achievement, especially in grade V
SDN Kubanglaban.
